Terms of Service

Aldus turns guided voice interviews and material you provide into a finished nonfiction manuscript and related assets (such as covers, audiobooks, and launch materials, depending on the package you purchase). Availability of specific features depends on your plan.

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to use Aldus. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

Paid packages and credits are billed through our payment processor (Stripe). Prices are shown at checkout. Some features are unlocked with credits; credit prices are shown in the app. Purchased credits do not expire.

Our delivery and refund commitments are described in our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms: if you complete your required steps and we do not produce a promised deliverable within the stated window after you notify us it is missing, you are entitled to a refund; if you are not satisfied with quality, we will regenerate the work until you are.

You retain ownership of the material you provide (your interview answers, uploads, and the story they contain) and of the finished book we produce for you. You grant New Wave Press a limited license to process, store, and transform that material solely to provide the service to you.

You are responsible for having the rights to any material you upload, and for ensuring your book does not infringe others’ rights or violate the law.

Aldus uses artificial intelligence to draft and produce your book from your own words. AI-assisted drafts can contain errors or inaccuracies; you are responsible for reviewing and approving your manuscript before publishing. Where required (for example, audiobook narration), we include appropriate AI-narration disclosures.

You agree not to use Aldus to create unlawful, infringing, harassing, or deceptive content, to reverse-engineer or disrupt the service, or to attempt to access other users’ data. We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms.

The service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, New Wave Press is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We may update these Terms; material changes will be communicated through the service or by email. You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which New Wave Press operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
