Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 29, 2026
CoreText, operated by New Wave Press, turns your guided voice interviews and uploaded material into a finished manuscript. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the control you have over your data.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email, and (if you opt in) phone number.
- Voice sessions: audio is processed to produce a text transcript. We store the transcript, which is what we use to write your book.
- Uploaded content: documents, audio, video, and URLs you provide on the Uploads page, plus the text we extract or transcribe from them.
- Payment data: handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
How we use it
Your transcripts and uploads are used solely to generate, edit, and deliver your manuscript and related deliverables, and to provide support. We do not sell your data or use your book content to train third-party models beyond what is required to generate your deliverables.
Voice recordings
Audio captured during a session is transcribed to text. We retain the resulting transcript so you can review, correct, and regenerate from it. Your transcripts are private to your account and are protected by row-level security — no other customer can access them.
Where your data lives
Data is stored with our infrastructure providers (Supabase for the database and file storage, Stripe for payments) under their security and compliance controls. Files are kept in private storage and served only through short-lived, access-checked links.
Your rights — access & deletion
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your transcripts, uploads, and account at any time. Email support@newwaveauthors.com from your account address and we'll process the request. Deleting your account removes your transcripts, uploaded content, and generated files.
